Mike Hanna is President of Hanna and Associates, Inc., a firm specializing in multi-state government relations, business development, cross-functional communications and grassroots issue advocacy campaigns. Clients include health care, technology, and corrections companies. Services also include political committee management responsible for fundraising, messaging and advocacy.

Hanna has over 15 years of experience in governmental and political affairs including leadership positions in statewide campaigns, state government and the private sector. Hanna has most recently served as Director of Business Development for Liberty Healthcare Corporation where he was responsible for developing strategic relationships with key government administration leaders, elected officials and community organizations throughout the country.

Prior to his role with Liberty, Hanna worked in senior management roles with the State of Florida. He served as Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Corrections from 2003 to 2006. As Chief of Staff, Hanna was responsible for directing, planning, organizing the major functions of Florida’s largest executive agency with direct supervision of Legislative Affairs, Communications, Information Technology, Human Resources and Financial Management. He played a key role in enhancing the agency’s public-private partnerships through implementation of several successful outsourcing initiatives that resulted in over 20 million dollars in savings and new revenue.

Hanna entered politics by working on the Jeb Bush for Governor Campaign in 1994 and worked throughout both terms of the Bush Administration. He served as the Political Director for Jeb Bush for Governor Campaign in 2002 after working on the previous Jeb Bush Campaign in 1998. Hanna also worked in the Executive Office of the Governor from 2000 to 2001

He also draws federal campaign management experience through serving in leadership roles on the Bush-Cheney campaigns of 2000 and 2004 alongside numerous legislative races.

Hanna is a graduate of Florida State University where he received a degree in Political Science.
